Roles and responsibilities of ECLAC staff
ECLAC Headquartered in Santiago was recognized by Eurostat as a research entity by letter, electronically signed on 3 September 2018 in accordance with article 4.2 (Validity of electronic documents) of Commission Decision 2004/563.
This recognition implies that staff at ECLAC Headquarters can request access to Microdata (datasets) for research purposes from Eurostat, under certain rules and regulations. ECLAC and ECLAC’s researchers must comply with the following roles, responsibilities, and obligations in the process of requesting access and managing this confidential data.
