FDES - Sub-component 1.3: Environmental Quality

This subcomponent organizes statistics on the concentration of pollutants in the air, freshwater and marine water, and on soil pollution and noise levels. Measurements of concentrations of substances in the environmental media reflect the combined and cumulative impact of human and natural processes. This pollution impacts both the human subsystem and ecosystems.
