From April 2020 tourism in the region has come to a near standstill as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. This paralysis of the tourism sector has not only strongly hit Caribbean economies and employment, but also many local communities in Latin America. Here several resources are presented on the measures taken measures by different governments and the private sector to mitigate the impact of the crisis on tourism businesses, which are mostly small, and workers, as well as preparing them for the post-COVID-19 recovery.
